New Creation OCG Update on COVID-19
Our current global climate demands that we continue to move forward with keen wisdom and precautionary foresight. While many have come to understand the gravity of COVID-19, still few could have anticipated—and indeed many still do not fully appreciate—the depth of change we are living through.
Contrary to what some media outlets have portrayed, New Creation has firmly believed and expressed that the health, safety and wellbeing of our families and congregants is of the utmost importance to our church. Over the last several weeks we have endeavored to follow the guidelines of the CDC and the WHO, and determined to be supportive of the collective wisdom and recommendations of government leaders, both federally and locally, including scientific experts.
The leadership of our church has been in communication, on multiple occasions, encouraging all to abide by the directives and stay-at-home guidelines set by city, state, and federal officials. Effective Wednesday, May 20, Kentucky Governor, Andy Beshear, has outlined that houses of worship would be allowed in-person services at a reduced capacity and that everything is contingent on being able to do social distancing, cleaning, sanitation and other accommodations.
As many businesses and churches prepare to accommodate the current recommendations to reopen, New Creation has prayerfully decided to transition to a Prayer Only service starting on Wednesdays, May 20 at 6:30 p.m.
Those who may have pre-existing or vulnerable health conditions, or don’t feel comfortable, safe or at ease about participating in public prayer we encourage you to please stay at home. We will have adequate access to disposable masks, hand sanitizer, periodically disinfecting surfaces, and practicing safe social distancing as we come together for in-house prayer only service.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused religious institutions to adapt in various ways, from having virtual worship encounters, to Zoom Meetings, to asking for online donations, and to hosting drive-in services to name a few. As we have previously stated, please know that New Creation is resting and going forward in the power, peace and promises of God. “No harm will come to you. No sickness will come near your house. He will put his angels in charge of you to protect you in all your ways.” Psalms 91:10-11 God’s Word Translation
As we slowly and prayerful move forward, we ask that you remain encouraged, engaged, supportive, prayerful and most importantly let us remember and rest in knowing that we serve a living God who is sovereign and still reigns.

**ATTENTION!**
Amid the health pandemic that our country is experiencing, the notion of social distancing has affected the gathering of many businesses as well as churches and unfortunately, New Creation is not exempt.
Our current global climate demands us to move with keen wisdom and precautionary foresight.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and to follow CDC (Center for Disease Control) and National, State and Local mandates and recommendations, New Creation OCG has decided to cancel services and all church related activities/meetings for the rest of the week.
We will continue to monitor the CDC and Local websites for further updates and instructions and will inform you accordingly.
Please continue to use this time to consecrate yourselves and pray for the spiritual and natural healing of our land. – PJ
